"Success is the product of daily habits—not once-in-a-lifetime transformations." - James Clear, Atomic Habits
How often do we decide to start a new routine, only to be discouraged when we do not see results in the short-term? We live in a generation of instant gratification, as we have grown accustomed to instant information and instant results.
In the book Atomic Habits by James Clear, the author makes the point that complaining about not achieving success despite working hard is like complaining about an ice cube not melting when you heat it from -10°C to -1°C. All the work has not been wasted; it is simply being stored. All the action happens at 0°C.
Where you are at this point in time is not important; where you are going is what matters. You may not have the body you want, you may not have your diet where you want it to be. But what steps are you taking today toward your goals?
Decide on your goals, commit to your new routine, and be patient for the eventual success.
